Morbern Europe - Over fifty years at the forefront of the performance fabrics industry

Process

At Morbern®, sustainability is embedded in every aspect of our production process.

Guided by our ISO 14001 certification, we are committed to reducing environmental impact through initiatives focused on recyclability, landfill reduction, air and water preservation, and carbon neutrality.

Recognising the finite nature of our planet’s resources, we continuously strive to improve our practices to ensure a healthier future for generations to come.

Powered by Nature

Powered by Nature

Our Canadian production plant operates on 99% renewable energy, primarily hydroelectric power.

Since 2021, we are driving a shift to renewable energy by actively choosing equipment powered by sustainable sources, whenever and wherever we can, and switching to low emissions LED lighting.

Low Emissions, High Standards

At Morbern®, we keep emissions low through smart operations and a short supply chain.

With our own knitting plant just an hour from our main production site and a sharp focus on renewable energy, our CO² emissions (5.5 metric tons in 2023) are well below global industry averages.

In Europe, we are also reducing our footprint by shifting production of best-selling ranges closer to home, thereby reinforcing our commitment to sustainable manufacturing.

From Waste to Worth

From Waste to Worth

We are focused on reducing waste and keeping valuable materials in use. Our strategy centres on recycling, reuse, and minimising landfill—whether through smart treatment solutions or redirecting seconds to other markets.

By choosing lower-impact materials and continually improving our ISO14001-led Environmental Management System, we’re cutting waste and conserving natural resources.

Breathe easy

We’re committed to cleaner air, inside and out.

By switching to low VOC, water-based finishes and pioneering flame-retardant-free vinyl, we’re reducing harmful emissions and promoting healthier environments.

Our production lines are equipped with regenerative thermal oxidisers (RTOs) to cut pollution at the source, all backed up with rigorous compliance to air quality standards and ISO14001 monitoring requirements.

Every Drop Counts

Every Drop Counts

Our long-standing support of Ontario’s River Institute reflects our deep commitment to protecting local ecosystems.

Since installing closed-loop cooling systems in 2016, we have reduced water consumption by more than 75% and the water we do use is clean and safe when finally returned to the St. Lawrence River—helping preserve this vital resource for generations to come.
